Digital Technology - Beats by Dr Dre

My kids are huge fans of Beats by Dr Dre. When my son first asked for beats headphones I was unsure if he actually knew what they were? Or was it just peer pressure at school. However, I gave in and got him a pair for Christmas. I was really lucky they only cost me £35. as I saved my Tesco Club card vouchers until Christmas and was able to double them up. Result!!!!

My son had starting looking at other Beats by Dr Dre products and then he discovered the Beats Pill. Despite its compact size, the Beats Pill produces a powerful sound. It’s easy to enjoy the booming bass in every room of the house. The Beats Pill also allows my son to roam so he always has premium sound, anywhere he goes. It’s lightweight and small enough to fit in his jacket pocket. It is also great if your phone or ipad battery is low on power, as you can  use the Beats Pill to give it some juice. The price of the Beats Pill came in around the same price as the headphones but sadly this time I didn't have any Tesco Clubcard vouchers.

Beats Electronics established in 2008 and comprises the Beats™ by Dr. Dre™. However, since May 2014 Apple acquired  Beats Electronics for round $2.6 million.

Beats newest edition to the headphone family is the Beats Solo 2 Wireless headphones which cost around £269. All you need to do is  pair with your Bluetooth device and move freely for up to 30 feet of wireless listening. Take hands-free calls with the built in mic, and use the on-ear controls to adjust your listening experience without reaching for your device. It also features an  illuminated LED fuel gauge on the headphone lets you know when it’s time to recharge.

Digital Technology - Apple

As a family we really do love our gadgets. Over the years we have had the iPhone 4, iPhone 5 and the recently the new iPhone 6. We also have ipad 2 Air and an ipad mini in the household. What I like about Apple products is the quality and ease of which all the products work together.   I believe that Apple is the most unique brand.  The iPhone's are all lightweight and use touch technology to access services. The kids can  use their phones as a normal mobile, they can text and can listen to their music which they love.
My kids love their ipad. There is not a day goes by that they don't use it. They spend most of their time watching YouTube. The ipad 2 Air is thinner and more powerful than ever before, it is definitely much faster and more powerful than the original ipad 2 and this is down to it having  a 64-bit A8X chip and M8 motion coprocessor.  Which allows my kids to access the web, download music and games safely.
Well!!! There is something that we don't have??? We don't own an Apple Mac or a Mac book :-(..
The main reason for not having one of these great gadgets is the cost. The Mac book has a sleek design and features an intel core duo which allows it to perform better than the Apple Mac. The Mac book also has an in-sight video camera for video conferencing.
Apples newest addition to the family will be the Apple watch which is available to pre-order. Here's hoping  my kids don't look for one of these as they are coming in at £499 which I find very expensive but are not compatible to the kids  iPhone 4s. The Apple watch has all-new interactions and technologies. It will let you do things more quickly. Apple say its there most personal device ever.

Apple Celebrity Endorsements
Apple don't use of a lot celebrities to endorse their products. However, in their iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 plus camera advert with Jimmy Fallon and Justin Timberlake the advert was without including their faces in the frame is basically a pitch perfect way of the company saying it doesn’t actually need celebrity endorsement to sell its products.
My next blog will be looking at Apples competitors Samsung.
